Alliance Events
Alliance Events
• You earn points based on how many people nominate, not just whether you place.
• Every nomination counts — you’re competing virtually against other nominees, not just the event placings.
• Guaranteed points through 1st–25th depending on nomination count (see scale below).
• If it’s a multiple-entry event, you may nominate multiple times (e.g., different horses or runs) and earn points for each nomination.
Example – Multiple Nominations
• Jane nominates at an Alliance barrel race (multiple-entry event) with no other nominees.
If she runs a clean time, her first nomination earns 500 points.
• If she nominated three horses and all ran clean, she would earn:
• 550 points (1st horse)
• 525 points (2nd horse)
• 500 points (3rd horse)
Barrel Racing – Per D System
Barrel Racing – Per D System
• Barrel racing can have up to 5 divisions (D1–D5).
• Points are based on the total number of nominations for the entire event, not the number in each D.
• The point value for 1st place (from the nomination scale) applies separately in each D.
Example – Multiple D’s
• 3 people nominate in an Alliance barrel race.
• This unlocks 550 points for 1st place in each D (based on total nominations).
• If each person is the highest-placing nominee in their own D, they each earn 550 points.
Example – All in the Same D
• Same scenario: 3 people nominate (1st place worth 550 points).
• All 3 place in D1:
• 1st place = 550 points
• 2nd place = 525 points
• 3rd place = 500 points
Multi-Round & Aggregate Events (Timed Events)
Multi-Round & Aggregate Events (Timed Events)
Applies to events like team roping, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, and breakaway roping.
Aggregate Points:
• In multiple-entry timed events, points are guaranteed based on the aggregate results against your nomination peers.
• We will fall back on round results to fill remaining point spots if needed.
• In theory, if you catch, you get points — your performance against other nominees determines how many points you earn.
Round Points:
• If the event pays rounds, we will also award round points.
• Round points are worth half the unlocked value from the nomination count.
Example:
• 3 people nominate in team roping.
• This unlocks 550 points for 1st in the aggregate.
• Rounds would be worth 275 for 1st, 262.5 for 2nd, and 250 for 3rd in each round.
Points Scale
Points Scale – Based on Nomination Count
• The number of people who nominate in an event determines which points level is unlocked.
• For example, if 10 people nominate, the 1st place value comes from the 10th row on the scale (725 points).
• All other placings in that event are calculated from that unlocked value.

Non-Alliance Events
• Points are awarded only if you place in the actual event results.
• This is because full verified results may not be submitted.
• Point scale remains the same, based on nomination count, but you must place to earn points.
Labeling Alliance Events
• All Alliance Events will be clearly marked in the system.
• These are events where:
• Full results are submitted
• Cross-promotion with VRQ occurs
• Points are guaranteed through at least 10th place
